This loop is perfect for refining your technique. It’s a gem for intermediate-level Nordic walkers.
The route, smooth and well-balanced, provides the perfect terrain to refine your push: the elevation changes are manageable, and the footing comes naturally. For more experienced walkers, a double lap can turn the outing into a full training session.
From the start, a lovely section takes you away from the cycle path: grippy ground, solid footing, allowing precise Nordic walking technique. The loop is done counterclockwise, encouraging a variety of technical sequences.
Be careful at the crossing near the oratory: this section requires good arm-shoulder coordination. If you feel like heading up to the viewpoint overlooking the charming village of Lathuile, know that this stretch, although tempting, is not well-suited for Nordic walking: steep, narrow, and unstable.
Here, everything is designed to progress safely in your practice. An efficient, beautiful, and stimulating course.
