A high-quality Nordic route, reserved for experienced walkers. Demanding, varied, and dynamic, this course will surprise you at every turn. With a mix of technical sections, power bursts, accelerations, stunning views, and playful terrain, you won’t notice the time passing.
To do… and to do again. And above all, to share with your friends who are passionate about Nordic walking!
Starting from the heart of Faverges, take the time to get moving: activate joint mobility, awaken your breathing, and engage your focus. Your mind anchors in the present moment, your footing connects with the ground, and your arms open for propulsion.
From the very first meters, a wide path welcomes you to settle into your stride and establish a rhythm. Soon, the trail narrows, becoming more playful, before giving way to a short road section. The next part is more technical: you enter a damp area scattered with slippery stones. Here, your poles become extensions of your body, essential stabilizers to maintain balance and stay on course.
A brief respite in a pastoral area allows you to catch your breath, but not for long. To the left, a lovely climb emerges, following the edge of a lively forest. Your breathing settles, your stride grows longer, and your arms propel with rhythm and precision. Be sure to respect the pastoral areas you pass through: here, humans share the land with nature.
A descent onto the asphalt offers a moment of active recovery. Water points are available: hydrate, breathe, and observe. The route then enters a narrow, playful single track, leading to a refreshing and almost playful river crossing.
The path continues with a climb along a wider road: maintain your pace, don’t linger—the effort is worth it. Very quickly, you drop onto a trail that follows the flow of a river. The atmosphere becomes bucolic, the energy of the water accompanying your steps, and the landscape opens up to wilder nature.
You finally reach the highest point of the loop: your breath quickens, but the horizon clears. Before you, the Val de Tamié unfolds in all its splendour. The descent begins, but don’t be fooled: this is not a leisurely stroll. The variations in terrain—flats, sharp descents, unexpected climbs—challenge your agility and keep your focus sharp. The diversity of surfaces between roads and trails breaks monotony, much to the joy of the Nordic walker.
