Setting out from the Bagnoles-de-l’Orne Tourist Office, this walk takes you deep into the heart of the Forêt des Andaines.

Over the course of this roughly 5 km hike, you’ll discover the Prieuré Saint-Ortaire and its reputedly miraculous spring. The path then follows a disused railway line before reaching one of the forest’s giants: the majestic Hippolyte Oak, the true emblem of the trail.Easy and accessible, this circular walk is perfect for an outing that blends nature, heritage and local legends.
