The "Bocage" trail offers a wonderful immersion in the heart of the Normandy bocage, starting from Bagnoles-de-l'Orne.

Over a route of about 10 km, you will move between country lanes, woodland paths and typical farmland, shaped by the hedgerows of the bocage.

The trail also takes you past several points of interest, such as the River Vée, the Fontaine aux Yeux (the "Eye Fountain") and the spa park of the resort.

Accessible and varied, it combines nature, heritage and local history in a pleasant, refreshing outing at a gentle pace.

• The trail has no major technical difficulties, and any difficult sections can be bypassed. Difficulty levels can change considerably depending on the season.
• Some sections may be made difficult by mud in wet weather, and by tall grass in summer.
• It is possible to bypass the steps and obstacles in the first few hundred metres by taking the cycle path towards the tennis complex.
• It is possible to avoid the rocky descent and the two final flights of steps when coming back down from the spa park via the Belle Époque district.
