You'll quickly gain height from the horse factor's ideal palace and the pretty village of Hauterives on quiet, little-traveled routes.

You then descend to the river bank (be careful crossing the road) before returning along the very pleasant banks of the Galaure. The route alternates between small roads, where you'll need to use your baton tips, and relatively wide paths with pleasant ground.
