Gipuzkoa

Guipúzcoa (in Basque Gipuzkoa) is the smallest and most mountainous region in the Basque Country, covering an area of 1,980 km2, bordered to the east by Navarre and to the south by the province of Álava.

Donostia-San Sebastian is the capital and one of the inevitable places to visit when visiting San Sebastian Region. Many have succumbed to the charm of this city which combines small mountains, gentle beaches, lordly buildings and long walks and bike rides. Its lively Old City, its unceasing cultural life and the traces that creators like Eduardo Chillida have left behind make Donostia-San Sebastian a place to return to.

The 86 kilometres of coastline in San Sebastian Region alternates between erosion-induced cliffs, clean beaches and traditional fishing ports. The museums of Zumaia, the rotisseries of Getaria, the great beach of Zarautz or the medieval streets of Hondarribia are some of the stimulating charms of the place that we know as San Sebastian Region Coast.
