Les 3 premiers kms montent vers la D15 puis, les 3 suivants descendent jusqu’au ruisseau de la Ligne. Ensuite, il faut grimper 300 m de dénivelé à travers les bois pour atteindre le sommet du Lizieux (1 300 m) et la moitié du circuit.

La suite du parcours a un profil plus descendant à travers des paysages forestiers dans les bois du Lizieux, puis agricoles et plus ouverts en retournant vers Le Mazet Saint-Voy.
