The orientation table, installed in 2018 on the Cochettes ridge, offers a 360° view of Alpe du Grand Serre, the Belledonne range, Chartreuse, Grenoble, the Vercors, and the Grand Serre to those who take the walk.
At the top of the Blache chairlift, take the track climbing to your right. After around 400 meters of ascent, enjoy a breathtaking view over Alpe du Grand Serre below and the Taillefer range ahead. As you reach the top of the climb, the long line of the Vercors mountains will come into view. Then, descend slightly to your right — the orientation table is right ahead. It offers a 360° panorama over Alpe du Grand Serre, its peaks, the Grenoble area, and the surrounding mountain ranges.
The top of the chairlift can be accessed by taking the lift during the summer season (see opening calendar) or on foot from the resort (about 300m elevation gain). The distance shown refers to the hike starting from the station. In that case, follow the trail via Mollard then Blatonnay, where you'll turn right to reach the orientation table.
