ExploreOn 7 & 8 May 2022, take part in the 19th edition of the Trail des Forts.
The largest nature race in Eastern France, the Trail des forts de Besançon offers four atypical courses of 57, 30, 21, 11 km and a hike of 11 km, harmoniously mixing nature and heritage and allowing to discover the fortifications listed as World Heritage by UNESCO. All runners have access to the famous Citadelle and its vertiginous passageway with a view of the finish, and the main course even proposes to link the 10 18th and 19th century forts that protect the Vauban city. With its start/finish site on the banks of the Doubs, in the historic city centre of the capital of Besançon, a green city par excellence, the 19th Trail des forts de Besançon is going for big things. Nearly 6,000 runners are expected in 2022, confirming the growing enthusiasm of enthusiasts from all over France.
