Trail and well-being stay

Description

Programme:
Arrive in Villard Reculas on Sunday 27 June and settle into your flat.
Free day or half day.

Day 1: Monday 28 June
Villard Reculas is part of the Station de Trail© network. Morning spent walking/running, i.e. alternating fast walking while chatting, and running in order to acclimatise and explore the long loop starting from the Tourist Office and the small green loops nearby. Free afternoon.
For non-runners, we suggest a visit to explore Villard Reculas in the morning. Afternoon free.

Day 2: Tuesday 29 June
This session will take place in the Trail Stadium located near the Lac du Langaret. We will work on pacing on the short loop as well as on uphill and downhill techniques in the hill-running workshop. Runners and non-runners can spend the afternoon together at a yoga session.

Day 3: Wednesday 30 June
Runners and non-runners can enjoy this day together. The morning session will be devoted to learning about Nordic walking, while in the afternoon, the body zen session will be open to everyone.

Day 4 : Thursday 01 July
A long run up to the Col de Maronne. After a long warm up on the Route du Pas de la Confession road, Huez will be the gateway into the Sarenne gorges on more technical terrain. We will cross this fast flowing river on a small Roman bridge, before starting the first climb towards the Col de Maronne and the Signal d'Auris... We will take a short break at the hamlet of Cluy before the second climb up to the Col de Cluy and its Roman camp... We will then descend to the Pont du Gua and the last lovely climb up to Pierre Ronde! After crossing the Alpe d'Huez mountain pastures and the Brandes mines, the magnificent panoramic path will take us back to the Villard Reculas side of the mountain and back to the calm of the Lac du Langaret. Non-runners will be able to enjoy a watercolour sketching workshop, taking a fresh look at the mountains. The yoga session in the afternoon will be open to all.

Day 5: Friday 02 July
This sports morning will bring the holiday to a close. For runners, the theme will be total body fitness.
End of the stay. The flat must be vacated by 4pm.

LEVEL for beginner trail runners, who run 1 to 2 times a week between 1h and 1h30, who have already participated in short distance events (about 10 km), and have already done some mountain hiking.
The holiday includes runs of between 10 and 20 km per day, with a height gain of between 600 and 1200 metres, at a pace between fast walking and slow running.
