The LEPAPE Marmotte Granfondo has became the new international and essential cycling event meeting! This is the one day cycling event most important of the summer in the Alps, right after the Tour de France. The organisation limits the number of available spots to 7.500. The majority of participants come from abroad: 88% or 6600 international cyclo-fans.

Participants of the LEPAPE Marmotte Granfondo Alps have often spent hours and hours on their bike training to be able to finish on the legendary Alpe d’Huez, whilst conquering 21 hairpin bends. It demands courage, dedication and determination to even attempt this challenge across Glandon, Télégraphe, Galibier and Alpe d’Huez.

The sequence of 5 of the most legendary passes in France: the Glandon, the Telegraph, the Galibier, the Lautaret, and finally the final ascent of Alpe d’Huez. Whether they aim for a certain time or just to be able to finish, every participant leaves Alpe d’Huez with a satisfying feeling knowing they have conquered this challenge.
