Description

Do you feel as quick as a lynx, as agile as a chamois, and fearless enough to charge like a wild boar?
Then lace up your running shoes and get ready for a 100% nature, 100% adrenaline adventure in the heart of Ain, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Three races are on the programme this year:
The Wild Boar Marathon: 42 km, 2,300 m elevation gain, solo or relay
The Chamois: 25 km, 1,150 m elevation gain
The Lynx: 12 km, 500 m elevation gain

Once you’ve crossed the finish line, don’t leave without exploring the treasures of the region. Take a refreshing break at the Fronde waterfalls in Charix, the perfect spot to cool off and unwind. Just 15 minutes away, Lake Nantua offers an idyllic setting to relax, or head to Lake Genin, nicknamed “Little Canada”. Still got some energy (and legs) left? Climb up to Crêt de Chalam for spectacular views. On a clear day, you might even catch a glimpse of Mont Blanc.

And when it comes to food, get your taste buds ready. Start with the famous quenelles with Nantua sauce, followed by a generous slice of galette comtoise. And don’t forget a good piece of aged Comté cheese, so you can take home a little taste of the mountains.

So, ready to prove you’re not just a sleepy old wild boar?
