Description of the yoga, hiking and Nordic walking course in the Hautes Alpes
Nordic Walking, Hiking and Yoga are closely linked activities that will allow you to enjoy beautiful mountain landscapes while taking care of yourself. These two practices allow you to work on your heart rate, your posture, as well as all your muscular chains favouring your recovery after the effort. Breathing is an important element in the practice and will be discussed during all the outings.

Course programme
Meeting point: Arrival day, Monday 6 September: Welcome at 10.00 am at the gîte, installation and departure for the activity.

Day 1
11.00am presentation of the week and a point on the equipment, departure for Nordic walking at 12.00 noon with the picnic prepared by Déborah, yoga workshop at 5.30pm for 1.30 hours shared with the climbers. This first workshop aims at reconnecting with the body and doing oneself good. Then to experience deep relaxation to release tension and clear the mind. Meal at 7:30 pm.

Day 2
Yoga workshop at 8am, followed by breakfast:
Maintaining the body with strength and flexibility by encouraging the opening of the hips and balancing postures to prepare the body for verticality.
Experience different breathing techniques, which according to the exercises are a real fuel for the sportsman's body and a source of relaxation and concentration.

Nordic Walking from 10.30am to 4.30pm: Departure for a Nordic walking outing on the butterfly trail in Freissinières to reach the mountain village of Dormillouse. We will be able to admire the waterfalls throughout the outing and also discover a mountain village full of history in the heart of the Ecrins National Park (altitude difference: 400m; distance: 7km).

Yoga workshop at 5.30 pm to 7 pm:
Recovery and regeneration of the body and mind

Day 3
Yoga workshop at 8am, followed by breakfast:
Developing body awareness by encouraging the opening of the rib cage. The breath is the only unconscious function of the body that we can take control of if we wish. It will allow you to calm and unplug the mind during delicate passages in your daily life.

Hike from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm: A Nordic walk on the path leading to the Croix de la Salcette above the village of Bouchier. Villard Meyer. A walk in the middle of the melezin which leads us to the foot of the Tenailles du Montbrison, a particular rock known in the Briançonnais for climbing. We then walk through a mountain pasture area to the Croix de la Salcette. The descent is to the village of Bouchier, a mountain village inhabited all year round. (altitude difference: 650m; distance 6km)

Yoga workshop from 5:30 to 7:00 pm:
Recovery and regeneration of body and mind

Day 4
Yoga workshop at 8am, followed by breakfast:
Recharge your batteries by sharpening your concentration and placing.

Hike from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm: We leave from the vicinity of Madame Carles, to follow the path accompanied by marmots and sometimes chamois in the heart of the Ecrins National Park. We will take the opportunity to admire the White Glacier and observe its evolution. Arriving at the lake, we admire the Pelvoux, a massif very famous for its mountaineering races. (altitude difference: 600m; distance: 5km)

Yoga workshop from 5.30 pm to 7 pm:
Recovery and regeneration of body and mind.

Day 5
Yoga workshop at 8am, followed by breakfast:
Improving performance by balancing the body and mind, then working on breathing capacities.

Nordic Walking from 10.30am to 4pm: departure for a Nordic walking session from the Freissinières campsite to the Rortie ridges. A gentle and beautiful climb through the pine forest, a passage through the rocks, an ascent with a beautiful view of the Durance valley, elements that will accompany us during our outing (altitude difference: 600m; distance: 8km).

Yoga workshop from 5:00 to 6:30 pm:
Recovery and regeneration of body and mind.

Remarks:

This programme is given as an indication. It can be modified according to the conditions on the ground, the weather of the week, your level of practice, your desire and your form... In any case, we will try to make you take advantage of the possibilities that are within your reach.
